AI on Day One: The New Hire's Playbook

The expectations placed on new hires have fundamentally shifted. Employers increasingly assume that incoming talent will arrive with not just an awareness of AI, but the ability to apply it effectively from the start. Most students and early-career professionals have at least a casual familiarity with products like ChatGPT, but the gap between this and the ability to operationalize AI as part of a daily workflow is significant, directly affecting how quickly new hires ramp up and deliver impact.

This workshop addresses that gap. We will explore how to adopt an automation-first mindset when entering a new role, learning to identify repetitive tasks and build repeatable AI-powered workflows around them. Participants will learn how to move beyond one-off prompts toward structured systems that compound productivity, and how to accelerate ramp-up by producing higher quality work earlier. Whether you are preparing for your first internship or stepping into a new role, you will leave with a practical toolkit and a framework for AI adoption that you can put to use from Day One.
